A very interesting experience and yes, Foxy ... I believe children leave their bodies all the time while asleep

I Saw Myself On The Bed Sleeping By niccieleu (the author is a teenager) Date: 2019-06-16 Country: Philippines I'm a Filipino. English is not my first language, therefore there are times I have difficulty describing the sensations I felt along the experience. My house was small and I live with my family so I had to share my closet with my brother. I was resting during the afternoon. It was a hot afternoon so my AC was on. I was already asleep, but I remembered I was really annoyed because my brother kept going in and out of my room, so my sleep was disturbed but since I was really tired, I was able to get back to sleep. What really ticked me off was when my brother didn't close the door. Since the cool air escaped, the room started to warm up, which is why I woke up. I was still pretty sleepy so I decided that I wanted to close the door and get back to sleep. Here's where it went all weird. I tried to get up, but my body was so heavy, it was like I was tied to my bed. With enough struggling I finally got up. I don't why, but I had an urge to look behind me (where my bed was) and I saw myself, on the bed. Sleeping. Not after a split second after seeing myself, it was like I got sucked back into where my other self was. I was so shocked at what happened, I open my eyes only to notice that I was still on the bed. The shock woke me up so I ended up just getting up and wondering what just happened. I'm unfamiliar with astral projection nor do I think what just happened was related to this matter. Maybe it was just a weird dream, but I'm really interested in what it is, astral or not. ~ ~

Began Lucid Dreaming By LottiTheSeer Date: 2019-06-12 Country: United States State: California First want to say that I've never had anybody I could talk to about my experiences, at least with anybody who could relate, until I found this website. So please forgive me but the cork is off the bottle and I'm regurgitating everything that I've been keeping to myself most of my life. I'm trying to keep everything in chronological order as best as I can as I share these experiences. I would also like to add how grateful I am for forums like this. I was in my mid thirties living in a rental cottage in San Diego. I was going through a huge transition in life and under a considerable amount of stress, I was also drinking more than I should and having trouble with insomnia. I would lay awake in bed all night unable to shut my mind off. What began to happen was, I would be awake when my body finally went to sleep. I would feel myself sinking down into my bed like I was in an elevator. It was usually accompanied with everything appearing snowy and hazy, like an old tv without a signal. This was also accompanied with a loud whooshing sound as I descended. My first experiences always began like this. I would be sinking down with everything being real fuzzy, the whooshing sound had stopped and I would come to rest on my hands and knees. The fuzzy snowiness would clear up into a dirt floor, I would stand up and find myself in what appeared to be a basement with a dirt floor. There was always a table and chair against one wall and a door. Everything had a greyish blue hue to it, until I opened the door and stepped out. I would then be outside and everything was more vivid and colourful than the waking world. Everything in such vivid detail, I would walk through the tall grass around the side yard and through a low picket fence gate. I would then emerge onto the side walk to find myself in a neighbourhood very similar to the one I was living in, with a lot of old craftsman style houses with nice porches but without the apartment conversions. I would walk down the street in amazement, as bizarre as my out of body experiences were, I had never experienced anything quite like this before. It was always from this point on where the experiences would differ. During my first one, I saw an old yellow and white Victorian house across the street so I headed for it. I was well aware I was in a dream and figured I could do what I want so I decided to go explore the house. As I was crossing the street I noticed a man with two kids walking down the side walk in front of the house crossing my path, and as I approached the front porch I turned to see them walking on when the girl turned and met my gaze. I then opened the front door and entered the house. I was amazed at the detail, beautiful wood work and built inns. I appeared to be in the living room and to my left was what appeared to be a family watching television. Only one of them turned to look at me briefly and then back to the tv as if my presence somehow didn't bother them. I continued on through another door that led to the kitchen, I walked through the kitchen and through another door into a room that appeared to be some kind of recreation room. There was a ping pong table with a couch behind it, and on the wall opposite the couch was a tv. I sat down on the couch and began looking for the remote, I could not find it and then thought to myself, this is a dream, I should be able to just will the tv to turn on. Just then the door opened and in walked that little girl who was walking by outside with her father and brother. She didn't say anything but walked over to the couch and sat down. I then woke up and noticed that it was real windy outside, I got up out of bed and went over to the window and could see the leaves blowing outside. I then woke up for real. This was my first lucid dream and I began having them pretty regularly since then. They would always start the same way with me sinking down through my bed. ~

First Two Obe's
By LottiTheSeer

When I was very young, no more than the age of six, I shared a room with my younger brother and we would both see a ball of light that would occasionally glide through our room. Being so young at the time we really had no idea what it was, however we weren't afraid of it and gave it a name, White Fluff.
It was during this time period that I first left my body, I remember how everything I saw and felt was nothing like a regular dream. I had the light sensation of floating out of my body and everything had a slight graininess to it and took on a greyish blue hue. I remember floating around my room and drifting over by the bedroom door when a small brightly glowing thing came into my room from the hallway.
It approached me stopping about ten inches from my face. The best way I can describe it is it had the appearance of a glowing humming bird.
I wasn't afraid of it and I remember it spoke something to me. Not being able to remember word for word what it said has bothered me throughout my life however I do remember it saying something about being my friend.
I spent the first half of my life not really knowing what I had experienced. It wasn't until my Uncle mentioned astral projection and I started reading about the topic and seeing that their was similar experiences out there that I started to piece it together, especially after my second out of body experience.
I was about fifteen years old, this was right around the time I experienced the thing in the doorway. I woke up one morning and then drifted back into a half asleep half awake hypnogogic state. I felt an onset of strong vibrations all over my body that came in short bursts accompanied by a loud whooshing sound. I then felt myself detach from my body and I floated up to the ceiling.
I then floated towards the doorway just beneath the ceiling and out into the hallway where I saw my Mother putting away some linen in the hallway pantry. I then shot back into my body with a strong thud and opened my eyes, I was awake and I could hear my Mother in the hallway putting away the laundry. ~ ~

The Hag, The Second Visitor
By LottiTheSeer Date: 2019-06-03 Country: United States
State: California
So I was in my twenties and living with my Grandmother, I had my own room in the back of the house and it had been at least ten years since my experience with the thing in the doorway. I didn't think about it all too often however I could never forget it. I awoke in the wee hours of the morning with a squeaking sound coming from the bedroom door. I was propped up on my left elbow and noted that it was after three am.
As I watched the bedroom door I saw it begin to slowly open, my mind started to think of a rational explanation wondering why Grandma was coming into my room at this hour, however what entered my room wasn't my Grandmother, it was indeed an old woman though, an old woman of short stature, haunched over wearing what appeared to be a black shawl over a tattered outdated dress.
She had long greyish hair that partially fell in front of her face, and she moved very slowly toward my bed and stopped about six feet from me. Her head began to move violently, this reminded me of the movie Jacobs Ladder with the violent head movements. This scared the hell out of me and I screamed, however no sound could come out of me. This was the same thing that happened to me the first time when I couldn't get a sound to come out, just a garbled low kind of moan. My heart again was pounding so hard that I was concerned about it.
I watched this woman slowly dissipate before my eyes and as I stared, I saw that the door to the bedroom was now closed. I stayed propped up on my left side watching the door with my heart pounding for a while and eventually laid back down. I remained awake for the remainder of the morning unable to sleep, and this began a fight with insomnia that I still contend with today. ~ ~

False Awakening, The Thing In The Doorway by LottiTheSeer To be honest I'm not completely sure what category this falls under; however a false awakening seems to fit the best. I was around the age of fifteen at the time and sharing a room with my brother. I woke up in the wee hours of the morning due to feeling cold, when I checked the time it was after three am. I then noticed my covers were completely off my bed and in a heap on the floor at the foot of my bed. As I was pulling them up off the floor I noticed out of the corner of my right eye the hallway light was on and some one was up I remember thinking to myself, that's odd, who would be up at this hour with the hallway light on? However when I turned to see I realized that the light was not the hallway light, it was far too bright, and who ever was in the doorway did not appear to be human. It was silhouetted solid black with a very bright light behind it. To the best of my description it looked like somebody wearing a sheet over them that extended to the floor around seven feet tall and with a head about the size of my fist. I stared at it in disbelief and it didn't move or make a sound. I can see its shadow casting over my brother's bed since it was a few feet from the doorway. I turned to my brother and tried to yell at him to wake him up, however no sound could escape my lips, no matter how hard I tried to yell to wake him up I couldn't get anything out. I remember my heart pounding so hard it scared me as I watched it just stand there, it almost reached the top of the doorway and I tried to wake my brother again but to no avail. I remember nothing after that, it was if I had blacked out. That was my first visitor. ~ ~

Childhood Experiences By Allie
Date: 2019-05-21 Country: United States State: Hawaii I have been having astral traveling experiences since I was a child, the first one I can remember with clarity was when I was 4, first I remember falling very slowly out of my body and onto the cold floor. I don't remember any ties or cords that connected me to my sleeping body but I remember seeing my little body sleeping, I rose slowly through the parlor window and I felt everything the coldness of the air, the brightness of the outside street lights a humming sound and flashes. I had no fear at all. As I rose up to the lights there were children my age some in pajamas and some in medical scrubs (I guess they were patients) they were there just floating by the streetlamps. When I joined them we played games and mostly I remember feeling really happy, but very sad also because I understood somehow the children in medical gowns were very sick. I don't remember how I got back into my body I just remember waking up the next morning, late. I hope you have better experiences, my mother always had a hard time dealing with my experiences, my father was much more supportive as we are a spiritual family I used to like to think of my little friends as angels although I knew that they were just children like me. My culture has its own understanding of astral travel although I was raised in the catholic faith and strongly believe in God. I believe that gifts of a spiritual nature are from God, and I think these gifts are more common than people might have thought. I still remember it like it was yesterday. ~ Allie

Vibration/shaking Waking Me Up Several Times A Night by Smltwngir I first had this vibrational/ shaking happen to me 5 years ago. It would be this PHYSICAL tremor happen in my chest and torso. It was not scary, but alarming. I was not understanding what is happening with my body. I'm in good health and don't smoke or do drugs. I got on anti- depressants at that time thinking my problem was metal. They did go away with the help of EFFEXOR. Now 5 years later and no Effexor in my system it has started back. It feels like you are leaning against a washing machine on spin cycle. It happens several times a night and nearly every night for a few months now. I went for an EFT (emotional release therapy) season and she told me I was having spiritual downloads. Since then I have been accepting the shaking and allowing it. Most of the time I'm able to go right to sleep. The last couple of nights I was annoyed and tired but still gave it permission to give me any downloads it needed. I immediate felt a gently pulling or tugging of mind. It didn't leave my body, but went about halfway out then came back in. I read on this site about some people experiences OTB. I wonder if that is what is trying to happen to me. Tonight I will release it and see what happens. The shaking is to my physical body. I place my hand on my chest or torso and can feel it from the outside as well as the inside. At first I thought my dogs were scratching and shaking the bed until I realized it was ME! Sometimes it will start right as I start to fall asleep and most times all throughout the night. Has anyone else had this shaking happen to them? ~ ~

Dimension Travel Instructions? by Ana By Ana Date: 2019-04-11 Country: Venezuela Last year, I lived through a series of horrible events so I found myself sleeping a lot more than usual, especially since I wasn't in class anymore. After New Year's Eve 2018, before I travelled to Punta Cana with my best friend from Vancouver, I lied in my parent's bed unable to sleep (I've had insomnia for years). When I finally did, I had the weirdest dream or I guess you could say dreams as I'd wake up and go back to sleep. So I've always been able to realize I'm in a dream and wake up when I wanted. I've also been able to act like I want inside the dream making my own choices consciously. I have always been able wake up and then continue my dream on demand. But this time it was different, unlike any of those times. Here's what happened: I realize I'm awake in my dream, seems dark around me, a woman and some candles. There I am, I'm meeting with someone. She looks like a friend from my childhood, even has the same name. We start to talk. She explains to me how to travel through different dimensions. "Close your eyes, think, feel..." I can't put the instructions into words but I somehow knew what she meant. I wake up from my dream. Odd. I go back to sleep and do as she said. I'm back to where I was but without the girl. Her voice becomes a voice in my head, no one around. It's dark and suddenly, I'm somewhere else. It felt and looked like I'd jumped some hoops if that makes sense at all. It didn't look like anywhere I've been. To be honest it didn't really look like anything I've seen, it seemed like under a bridge street looking. But when I was going from one location to the orher it was space looking. I was moving and somehow, flying... Dark, then lights. I kept hearing her voice and doing as I was told. I remember feeling happiness, curiosity and wonder, something rare as I'd been very depressed. It was unreal. There was no real meaning I find, or any realistic aspect to it. I had a flight to catch so I had to start my day but I'll never forget how unique it was and didn't think it was astral projection until someone who I told this dream to brought it up so I wanted an opinion. ~

Experience #1 by Snow_Bunny ~ Astral Projection / Out of Body Experience (OBE) My most intriguing and exciting projection, was one in which I went to multiple planets in one night. The first was what I assume to be Mars, or a Mars like planet or star. It was very reddish in color. The entire atmosphere had a red haze to it. And I could feel the heat and the dusty particles in the air. I took a quick look around. I noticed what appeared to be a very small "tree" like structure with very few leaves, and beside it was a Rover type object. Unfortunately I couldn't make out any information written on the object so I'm not aware if it was of US property or from another country. Not long after, I told myself it was time to go. I snapped into my body and then immediately took myself to yet another planet. This time, the planet appeared to be what I felt was a "twin planet" to Earth. I began to walk and right away noticed there were people. HOWEVER, the people were walking "up" the planet like it was a hill but instead of standing upright, they were horizontal while walking, and gravity still managed to keep them steady and they didn't fall unlike the gravity on Earth which would not allow us to walk up with our backs facing downwards like that. Another curious thing was that in the crowd I noticed several people with faces that registered as being familiar to me, but upon waking I couldn't remember who they had been. I became convinced that these were the same people who occupied our Earth, just parallel. At one point, a very strong wind storm occurred that surely would have knocked people down on Earth. And in the dream I was affected unlike the other occupants. I could barely stand but they walked freely in the midst of the storm. I soon returned to my body and woke up and was extremely excited, as this was the first time I felt I had experienced something close to possible remote viewing or projection onto another plane! ~ ~
