From Bec, who says:

I astral project almost every night. But in my experience, it’s always when I’m in the light sleep stage and can hear whispers. Then it feels like a spiritual being coming to me and I hear a vibration when I lift out of my body. I fly around the room sometimes, other times I float off the bed and land like a feather on the floor. The spirits I’ve sensed are different each time.
One time I heard the whispers and looked up to see the vibration and it was a colourful kaleidoscope. Then it rushed down into me and lifted me up very quickly.
I wonder if anyone else has had similar experiences to mine?

I remember a long time ago when our Castle Dream Thread first came into being. I was trying to regain my ability to recall my dreams. Rick was trying to get back to his lucid dreaming. I never got to the lucid dreaming stage, I did get to a point of kaleidoscope colors where everything around me was brilliant clouds of color that was constantly rolling and rolling over and folding into each other, They were the most beautiful and vibrant colors I had ever seen. That is as far as I ever got toward lucid dreaming. Might try that again someday.
How about you. Rick. Do you ever have Lucid dream experiences anymore?

It sounds like you were close to having a lucid dream or even out of body experience with those brilliant clouds of color, Foxy. I briefly remember my last dream every morning but have not had a lucid dream in a long time ... hoping this thread jump starts them again. Once I have one, many more should follow as they did in the past

I don't remember my dreams and I'm not sure whether that's a good or bad thing to be honest.

I experienced some thing like this. It was my first night at boot camp. I was stressed out. At lights out I don’t know how long I'd been asleep, but suddenly my eyes flew open and I felt like I was levatating. I thought that’s not possible. To reassure myself I brought my arms down and I was above the bed! Quickly I said in the name of Jesus Christ, let me go. I fell to the bed. That was scary. Not as scary as the drill sergeants I had to face that morning, but close!

Shania Qureshi Answered Sep 14, 2018 Shania said: Yes I think it is real. I'm a 18 year old girl and I didn't know anything about astral travel. Tonight around 2:30 I fell asleep as I was very tired. Then after sometime I found myself in my bedroom in front of the mirror. As I turned back, I saw a weird entity which was floating, it had no body. It was something in brown color made up of dust. I got scared and ran towards my hall. On my way I saw 3 more entities ( I think they were ghosts or some spirits ) they were coming in my way. I got very scared and finally reached my hall. I was moving in a very fast speed as if I'm literally flying. I saw myself sleeping in the hall ( where I was physically sleeping). As I was scared I went back into my body and slept. After sometime I felt my hand moving on its own. I knew I was dreaming but I felt everything real. I couldn't move my body. I opened my eyes and tried to scream. I couldn't even scream something was stopping me. I couldn't say a word. I don't remember what happened after that. Before somedays I had seen myself at my friend's place at night( where no one stays ). I ignored it thinking it was just a dream. But after tonight's thrilling experience I googled my experience and learned about astral travel. ~

I experienced astral travel many times when I was a kid. I had no idea what it was until I read the experiences of other people about astral travel. For more information I googled it, checked videos, read experiences about the same and now I believe it was not a dream but an astral travel. That was a long time ago. Whenever I told about it to anyone, they said I saw a dream but I knew it was real. I always ended up in my body. Its been more than 10 years now to that last astral travel or dream. The best I can remember at the moment is that I was running from something, coming down stairs and suddenly I lost my balance (or picked up a faster speed), but I didn't fall, I was flying. That felt so real. I can still remember exactly what it felt like and where that place was. When I woke up I told my family about it. Everyone said it was just a dream so I believed it might be. Presently I am not at an expert in astral travel as many other Quorans are who share their experience related to OOBE but I believe I am progressing. I am a frequent dreamer and often I catch myself dreaming in the dream without waking up. I am not sure whether those are astral travels or just dreams because I can't match the same with experiences of others. In my lucid dreams the reality is different but it should be the same as experienced by other lucid dreamers. ~

They could be lucid dreams though I think flying always means being out of body.

H Hamze, Another world a heartbeat away. Answered Sep 11, 2016 Astral Projection is as real as the world itself. For example, once during projection, I met up with someone familiar and shared an experience. The next time we met in this world, we both had the exact same recollection of what transpired, So the plane, the astral plane, is common to all, The issue is that most in the plane are projecting and hence, living their own thought forms, which prevents a common verifiable experience. ~

Floating/flying is always a sign of astral travel. As far as dreams go everyone dreams even if they cannot recall dreaming. For a good, proven way to remember your dreams simply tell yourself, mentally and actually really tell yourself in your mind, " I will remember my dreams....I will remember my dreams....I will remember my dreams," three times....and do it three times..there seems to be something to it with saying it to yourself three times and "Hear" your voice saying it in your head. Works

People make out Astral Projection is more complicated than it really is. Some of them want to sell you something while others just want to feel important. People invent words and methods which have no actual purpose or value but here’s the thing. Astral Projection has not actually changed in years. It’s just people marketing it or themselves differently. One of the best known books has been around for a LONG time, it’s a no-nonsense guide which actually gets results without all the time wasting and (bonus!) AstralTV has the audiobook for free: Mastering Astral Projection (Free Audiobook) Back to Basics with Fast Working Methods. If you are interested in that free book offer, Click Here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ajay Prsd M V, B-tech Mechanical Engineering, Cochin University Of Science and Technology (2010) Answered Jul 8, 2015 Originally Answered: Can anyone share their real personal Out-of-Body experience (OBE) or Astral Projection/ Astral Travelling experience please. How can I also experience it personally ? I too, want a genuine answer for that. I read lots of articles and books gone through lots of YouTube videos but everyone is talking about the possibilities which you can do when you are out of body. When I first heard about this topic, I was fascinated and tried it on that very day and I reached a point where my whole body started to vibrate.. Heart beat raised.. I was laughing with joy and I lost control of it. That's the closest I ever reached. ~

Thanks for the free audio book link, Foxy ... it is Journeys Out Of The Body by Robert Monroe, a book I read in the 1990s which was very helpful.

By starrylight I've been interested in astral projecting for about 11 or 12 years, and as I get older, the more it makes sense to me. When I started learning about it and actively trying to project when I was 10 or 11, I would do everything wrong because I never really understood what I was doing. Luckily, now that I'm turning 22 soon, these astral projection techniques and concepts are starting to click for me. I'm not exactly the most consistent at practicing but some tips and pointers would help me out a lot, especially because I think I'm getting closer to actually projecting. So I don't really go by any specific techniques right now, I kind of just lay there and relax while trying to not fall asleep. I close my eyes, and stare into the void while letting my thoughts wonder, gently bringing myself back every now and then when I feel like I'm drifting off to sleep. I just watch the shapes and lights behind my eyelids, or focus on the ringing in my ears that we block out most of the time, and ignore my body when it's telling me to move (most of the time I'll listen to music or guided meditations). After maybe 20 to 30 minutes, I get to points where I either can't really feel my body anymore, like I'm physically numb, or it feels like my limbs are spinning and floating off like food coloring in water or smoke in the air, so much so that sometimes I feel like I'm just a disembodied head. Sometimes I feel a slight buzzing in my body but nothing intense. That's as far a I get though before I say forget it and move to a more comfortable position to go to sleep because I can't seem to get passed it. I've read that those are signs that I'm getting closer and I just need to lift up and out of my body at that point, but for some reason, I still feel like it's not enough. I still feel like if I do anything else I'll ruin the process and I'll have to start over. It's frustrating to say the least especially because I do feel like I am so close, it's just out of reach. I'm pretty sure I have projected once on accident when I fell asleep listening to music. My eyes were open and I was super close to the ceiling, and then it's like I snapped back into my body and opened my eyes (even though I thought they were already open) and realized I just woke up. So I know I can do it, and I'm not scared of much so it's not doubt or fear holding me back. I'm stuck and would really appreciate anything anyone can tell me that would help me finally reach the last stage and actually separate. Thanks. ~ ~
