I’m glad to see you Vicky and I’m glad you had a nice time in Scotland. That is one country I would like to visit. I love bagpipes and the countryside looks beautiful. I heard the folk are friendly. I’m sorry to hear about your husband. Many hugs to you and your family. My brother in law has the same condition, neglects his medications, doesn’t move at all, can’t walk very well, he has other problems too, heart, high blood pressure, is on oxygen 24/7. He is going downhill . He doesn’t seem to care. He has a poor attitude and a selfish one and it’s very frustrating for his wife who is like you, a loving caring person. He is not bedridden yet but close. He is a big man and finding an electric cart to fit him is difficult. She tries to get him t move but he gets testy and mean and sits in his recliner all day. There are times he won’t make the bathroom so she is looking for a solution for that. My heart goes out to you and I will keep you both in my prayers. My situation is the same, although I did go back east to visit my children and Granddaughter. It was a wonderful time. I miss them. But they are doing well and are successful. Nice to see you Vicky.🌷

Thanks for the email, Vicky. It is wonderful to hear from you and to know you were able to go on and enjoy your vacation trip. So glad your daughter could take over caring for your husband while you were away. It is too bad to be welcomed back home with a case of flu. So sorry about that and hope you can kick it in a hurry.
I got my flu shot when I was out for lunch with my friend on Monday. I want to ward off that flu if I can.
Hi Shy. It is good to see you, too. Sorry your brother in law is in such a bad way and has such a bad attitude. I think....I hope....I would be so grateful to have a good caregiver that I would be as cooperative as humanly possible.
Take care everyone and have a good day.

Hi Foxy, Admins and everyone, I have had a very busy month. First I caught a heavy cold and it settled on my chest but with Tony being helpless I had to carry on it just took a lot longer to get things done. Tony has been in and out of hospital but there is nothing they can do. I am having work done in the house and somehow I have to fit the shopping and Christmas in around all that. I am so sorry for my lengthy absence and I've missed the sanity of these pages. Believe me I need it.
I couldn't let Thanksgiving go by though without coming in to wish you all a very happy one. I have a feeling I've missed the Canadian one and I am so sorry Susan I hope you had a nice time.
Love to you all and have a great weekend. xxxx

Dear Shy, I know exactly what your sister is going through as I have similar problems here. I keep being told by medics that this is typical of dementia and he doesn't realise just how hard it is for others to cope with it. Unfortunately that's not a great deal of comfort when nothing I do is right. It's frightening how much it has changed him and he hasn't been out of the house since the beginning of September and doesn't want to either. My daughter has invited us there over Christmas but I have ordered meat as though we are staying here because I think that's what will happen. He creates an awful lot of washing and I seem to spend all my time washing, drying, ironing (which I loathe). LOL
Still worse things happen at sea. We are in the middle of an election campaign here which normally I would help out with but all I've been able to do so far is stuff a very few envelopes. However the bulk of the media attention is focused on Prince Andrew and the Duchess of Sussex at the moment. I wouldn't change places with either of them!
Tony has started going to bed earlier so I'm hoping that once I catch up I will at least have a couple of hours to myself and then I hope to post on a more regular basis. Has your Dentist got rid of that lazy girl yet? I do hope so. Take care and I hope to speak to you all again very soon. xxxx

It's really good to see you, Vicky. Sorry life has become so hard for you in these years when you should be able to relax and do as you please. Thank you for your Thanksgiving wishes. It is much appreciated. And you did miss Canada Thanksgiving. It happens in October, but we all know you were here in heart. I hope you can take your daughter up on her Christmas invitation, but it is always good to have a backup plan.
