Risk of Exposure
To expose one's vulnerabilities
and weaknesses is to give the listener
power over one's emotional state.
A gamble most dangerous to partake.
Still, a gamble worth taking
for the reward of the love
of a pure and just relationship.
Even if the outcome is negative
the scars from the listeners rejection
will heal in time
and the soul is rejuvenated
in the knowledge of knowing
that a stronger person
is one who can expose
the feelings within.
And this is a person
who will know love in many forms.
