At the stroke of midnight
we'll bellow a loud cheer
ushering out the old
welcoming a new year
We'll celebrate with joy
amongst confetti rain
remembering the good
forgetting all the pain
We'll make resolutions
and try to follow through
with all of the changes
that we've promised to do
We'll share a sizzlin' kiss
and snuggle ones we love
and in our heart of hearts
we'll thank the Lord above
Quickly it will be done
memories in its stead
our spirits fresh and new
awaiting what's ahead
