Sundial
Timepiece Of iron spike in stone Whose shadow cast on wall Is a silent clock Measured by umbra of fiery orb On Spanish colonial marble
That rises in Cartagena afternoon Above antique scene Of the soul market Where centuries pass In an eternal tropics Of dusky ghosts

So true right! Very cool read. It's been around through many ages. We actually have a sundial here on our back patio.

Marlon, our tour guide in Cartagena, pointed out this sundial built high up in the side of an ancient colonial building. I imagined it counting the hours, years, and centuries as people lived and died beneath it.

Thanks so much dpg3. This sundial was high up on a wall in the city of Cartagena, Columbia. Glad you enjoyed my friend.
