There's a couple ways of promoting your board here at Proboards, you can promote your board HERE at Proboards Support Forums, or you can promote your mini affiliate button HERE at Proboards Support Forums, or you are more than welcome to promote your board at my board HERE without registering just come as a guest, follow the simple and basic rules, and viola you're set to go.  I also have a place HERE where unregistered peeps can drop off their affiliate code with me to place in my affiliate banner. Follow the rules and you're good to go! I always encourage people to promote whether at my board and/or somewhere else because I wanna help people get their boards recognized and easy to find. You'll also find that Proboards also has their own Directory as well making it easy for us all to find what's out there for boards in Proboards. I'm on the second page in the "New" category. QueenFoxy, if you wanna know how to get your board in their directory just go to your admin panel > settings > directory tab up top, once you're all done don't forget to save it then you're good to go. Your tab icon is or can be a bit tricky, it took awhile so it will require patients to set up a little icon for your browser tab. |

Ok, at least now you know! Tried to say hello on your chat box last night, Linette, but it would not allow me to post. Said I needed to have a guest name in order to post. Of course, I already had my guest name in the post. Tried repeatedly and it never went anywhere. You have a nice board. Tried again this morning. No way will it let me post. |

on some groups that i'm on they have boards going by on the bottom susan Oh like an affiliate banner scroll, I have one as well but, chose the option in the plugin to not use the scroll only because there's not many affiliate buttons on there. ANYBODY can their affiliate button on my board I strongly encourage it to help people get their board noticed. I have an open forum which better work that is open to all guests to add their affiliate button. |

Oh.....and I hate anything that is scrolling across the board. It makes me feel sea sick or is motion sickness. Whatever, I try to avoid too much of that scrolly movement on the board. |

Exactly QueenFoxy, besides who's gonna join a closed board, how are you gonna meet new people on the web if you close yourself from them, and what would be the point of having a social general forum if it's closed offto everyone? I can see for some certain types of boards but, it's not meant for all boards to be closed off. Ok QueenFoxy, Adwoman at Proboards Support Board suggested clearing your cookies and cachet in your browser, see if that works QF? |

I agree, Linette. I don't join closed boards. I feel just as strongly about joining a group I can't see as they do about allowing a potential new member to peek in as a non member. They don't know any more about me after I join than they did before I joined. They are just using curiosity as a tool to get people to join. I have done that before, but no more.
