Your Oblivion
Walking out to the nighttime sky.
A road of stars before my eyes
lying out for me to walk
being the only one there.
This trail laid out just for me.
The constellations majestically.
So many of them pulsing everywhere.
I wanted to swim in the Big Dipper.
I wanted to touch the nebula of Orion's belt.
Somewhere within stars just being born.
I wanted to walk deep into the night
with the comets assuring me that all is right.
Show me a black hole!
The largest one around!
Because I want to witness its vast power.
Just for a second will you make me cower
and then let me fall into you?
Into your oblivion.
