Juneau Pilgrims
Nature’s crystal tea Poured over granite ice cubes Into holy Juneau vat of heaven Whose spritzer oxygen levitates us
Where tree rings widen Into wooden fingerprints That sing brazen hymns of nymphs To clouds that cloak the sun and moon From eyes that seek totemic beings That lurk in the shadowless forest Only to silhouette when the fog burns Into sunbeam sculpture
Where the castanet Of an eagle cry Echoes on Dryad boughs For forest gypsies Whose thirsty ears Drink liquid raptor songs

A journey that seeped into the mind, transformed to become so much more

Love your perspective here my dear friend. Indeed that is how our hike felt. All of us were over fifty but the hike was invigorating. Each of my steps was part of a spiritual journey that carried me along the mountain slopes. Thank you so much for really feeling this with me my friend. It means so much to me.

Wow! I bet it was just amazing and "soul-healing" too I just love everything nature. I need to get out in it more and there really isn't any reason I am not really living here. We're surrounded by it, kind of in the country here.

Picture of a male deer in our side yard by some of our cars. Took it a couple of days ago. I'll post it in chit chat too

It was healing for the soul my friend and for my feeling of family love which I didn't feel so strong for a long time. I know I am loved by my family. That picture is fantastic! I have felt the magic of encountering a deer up close but not for a long time. It is a wonderful experience that your picture brought back for me.
