Yukon Surreal
Meringue snow Where stunted pine Awakens in Cimmerian quiet To misty-eyed earth Whose fogbound dream Could be a barren Scottish highland Where bagpipes echo
But our Yukon land A burial ground Marked by totem poles To remember lost seasons When eagle and hawk tribes Found the path of peace

Sugar, reading your words here completes my journey through poetry. I wrote this one while up there. The tour guide told us the story of the eagle and hawk tribes who were sworn enemies but made peace. It is said that if they could make peace any human group can. Thank you so much, my dear friend.

WOW! SO.....WOW John! I absolutely love this! May I print? And I love the story you told that goes along with it and absolutely agree. We definitely should as a people. I don't know about the "can" but hopefully one day anyway. Great writing homey!

Huge thanks, Michael. I wrote this one while on the ship at sea after our train ride across Canada and Alaska. Very glad you felt the vibes here my friend. Indeed I hope one day the earth is at peace like in the Star Trek series. Not in my lifetime though.
