Star Witch~
Her plats and mystic maps in vain,
For it is all greater than she,
Yet she covets, and wants to steal
Every wish upon a star
That climbs the velvet ladder of night,
Cupping them in a brittle cage
of greedy fingers,
Yet most slip through
As sacred mist, and rise
To the occasion upon a speckled sky
Of brilliant notion,
Others twine a knotted ring,
Engaged, and believing in
Cold hands...warm heart
These ancient lights that dot the night
Bewitch the witch herself,
And all below,
Whose tented-souls gaze and shelter
Beneath this vast luminary canopy,
This Timeless Dream Catcher.
I wish I may..I wish I might...

Love the scenario of a beautiful night's sky, people wishing upon a star and a greedy witch trying to steal those wishes. The last line is the perfect ending, opening it up to the beginning all over again. You could make a movie out of this. Michael...don't get jealous  |

Awesome writing Sky I agree, this is epic! Some phenomenal imagery comes with reading this and can truly hear the "I wish I may..I wish I might..." softly in the background and I even hear chime-like music too..I can distinguish all of this from the regular voices and sounds I always hear in my head j/k Seriously, spectacular, STELLAR read here as yours always are a treat my friend HUGS |

Sky, this is impressionist night poetry that transcends the stars into life's dreams that we grasp and hold onto. Love the imagery here that captivates and enchants me as the emotional journey takes me into a profound place in my own heart as great poetry does for the reader.
