With each year death comes closer
Starting to know you better
Counting to the day
Its claim it may lay
Death is always the winner
So cherish you family
And all your friends that be
Enjoy all your days
In so many ways
Make your life full and merry
Death is patient and will wait
It already knows the date
You take the dark sleep
Cradling in its keep
For death is always one's fate

Profoundly wrought meditation on the ultimate fate of life and how we can choose to make the most of it.

So very true Every day is a gift in so many ways and especially with loved ones. Love the message here. I do hope when my time comes it is in sleep. That would be the perfect way to pass on. But until then, enjoy!

Death was a friend to me at one time, it is always near and you can take comfort from knowing that. I’d much rather be in a more positive state of being where death is not sort after but awaited with patience. Live while you still can, feel as much as possible and take as much away from each moment we have. Got me thinking Cat, nice one.
