Breathing illusions
As I lay among the wild flowers an abundance of life is surrounding me, yet I stare into nothingness.
The warmth from the sun is only a movement away but this cold, blue mood will not allow me to inch closer.
My chest is rising and falling, although I donβt acknowledge any breath, Iβm just an illusion searching for reality.

I feel this way sometimes myself. I suppose we all do, some more than others though. It's almost like living like a ghost. Feels that way sometimes anyway. Like your practically invisible to some people, especially the ones you care about to a point you feel almost invisible to yourself even. Relate. Great writing.

Sugar, this unfolded like a springtime on the sadness of a cloudy day. Your imagery is pure genius. The way you wove this made for a depth of magical experience that is unequaled in all my poetry reading. I love this both for its beautiful sorrow and the silver lining it alludes to. So gentle like dandelion seeds blowing in the wind.
