School Librarian
She presides over the school’s book room Like Helen of Troy in horn-rimmed glasses Who peruses a practicum on literature In her six-inch stilettos Wearing a clingy evening gown She puzzles over the inordinate amount Of reference inquiries from the boys But chalks it off to the curiosity Of budding scholars Yet so many questions On Shakespearean double entendres Which make her gasp

Thanks, Foxy. This one I considered not to have any explicit or even risque content. Just about a school librarian getting embarrassed. Thanks for the tag.

Never seen a librarian dressed like that - no wonder the boys were interested

Me neither Cat. I did have a college professor dressed even more daringly than that to the point that the boys were so distracted they couldn't learn their algebra. LOL Thanks for the comment, my friend. John

LOL! Those poor young men. I had a crush on my 7th grade teacher. Mr Cervantes. I will never forget his name. He was a beautiful human being.

One of the guys in that algebra class was outspoken about the young lady professor. He yelled, "How are we supposed to learn with you dressed like that!!!!!!!!" She obdurately continued in her daring dress. Thanks for sharing your crush, my friend. He sounds like he was a beautiful person through and through. Xo John

Me too my friend. I found out part of my Humana benefits is to find housing if I need it. So hopefully if they evict me here I'll have help with finding a new pad.

Wow! Totally right there with this too! Your imagery is always stellar John, something I have always admired about your writing, how you truly have us see and experience everything and even often I can even hear things and smell things too through your words. She sounds very interesting but she also sounds "tough" too lol...wonder what it would be like to be late returning an overdue book (waves at Foxy!) I stopped with that comment! hehehe...ohhhh....happy sighs

love that my poem brought her to life in images for you my friend. That means the world to me. Turning in an overdue book to her might be kind of tricky. lol, Love your comment, brother.

I knew a woman who accidentally burned down the house she rented twice but had no trouble finding a new place to live. So I am sure with a little help my much lesser problem won't prevent me from finding housing.

If they want me to replace the minorly cracked part in the AC I can afford that. A whole AC unit costs $400. So this little part can't cost much.

I never vandalized the place. Just an accident easily fixed.

John, I think something like that would fail into the category of ordinary, and expected wear and tear over a period of time.

That is definitely what I am hoping for my friend. The AC works perfectly and the part is very securely attached. So if they ask no questions I won't bring it up. The apt manager is averse to fixing the heater valve. She was when I first brought it to her attention last winter. And my recent reminder was met with her dismay. But when the inspectors find out they may require her to fix it. I just hope this transition to new ownership happens soon.

I am not the only one in this place with repair issues with the management. A lady in another building said she had no AC or hot water. The manager is unresponsive to her requests.

If they don't have the resource to fix the heater I wonder if they might want to relocate me. That might not be such a bad move depending on the location.
