What you've spoken of Rick and having known him in the forums indicate that he was a friend for life for you. He was sunshine woven into a rainbow of extraordinary creativity. Both his writing and his comments were the stuff of true friendship. It is rare that I've come across a soul as genuine and kind as his.

I was one of those many. I didn't get to know him as much as I'd have liked to but what I knew of him spoke to me of a sunshine soul of pure compassion.

I think he was the kindest person I ever knew. I never heard him speak ill of anyone.

His kindness shined both through his poetry and his conversation. There was an inner soul light that warmed me when he commented on my writing or when we interacted. Though my life hasn't always been easy he put things in perspective by showing me that there is love in the universe and I was part of a larger whole.
