In a mist, the gray man walks
To no one does he talk
Save for the poor soul
Ready for the toll
Trying to save him from the hawk
Written by Cat February 6, 2012
This is from a dream I had. It was a misty dawn, and the supernatural gray man was trying to save one man from a group going over a ridge where certain death waited. It was in medieval times and there was a war going on. No one but the man he was trying to save could see him. The others who went over the ridge ended up on X'd stakes, their bloodied hands tied on the top of either side of the X.
The word "hawk" signifies war. "Ready for the toll" means death was imminent for that one man before the gray man stepped in. The gray man was Fate and it was not yet the time for the man to die.

Yes it was one hell of a dream, Michael. To this day I can still see the images in my head.
