Engrossed in repairing terraces
lifting shaped boulders, sharp edges making the calloused palms harder
clearing fallen trees planning new plantings
looking up to see the peaks draped in white fluffy mist
or is that the cloud that will bring rains again
these occupy time and make up mundane, every day moments
most days, I find myself at the end of the day wondering
why I could not just be granted a couple more hours in the day.

A thought provoking description of your day. I feel much the same when hubby and I are cleaning up the property after the winter and spring storms. Only we would be cleaning up broken branches, from small to very large needing the saw, and cleaning out reeds.

Oh Yes!! i have traveled that road through many seasons, cleaning up the gardens in fall, in preparation of winter, then again in early spring when cleaning up the winter's fallen debris. It was always with enthusiasm and excitement for what would follow.

Brings back wonderful memories of working together with my mother in her yard. Those were good times and I thank you for inspiring their recollection.
Bows deeply, John
