I've done podcasts before, and they're a bit of work to produce, but I would like to put in some time and effort with the poets I know around the world.
Poetry, of all things, is a bridge between peoples and cultures. It reaches in and shines a light on our common humanity.
In the course of my poetic life, I have known and written with poets from Africa, Australia, Thailand, Nepal, Russia, the UK, the USA, India, and at least one Caribbean island. Off the top of my head.
None of us had trouble understanding or sympathizing with each other, far from it.
So at some point in the future, I may ask if any of you want to spend a little time with me online, share your story, and share a couple of poems in your own voice.
It won't be tomorrow, because this is a labor of love rather than any pot of gold, but it will be as soon as we can.
