If this person would relax and not try so hard, I believe full separation would be achieved.

Dreaming Of The Basement by bresys Date: 2018-06-11 Country: United States State: Connecticut
I'm not a hundred percent sure if I am even legitimately having experiences, but ever since I was young, I've had dreams that eventually come true. I've also had dreams that seemed to have demonic things in them, or I dream about places I haven't been in a VERY long time, but its like I'm there as it is in the present. I don't even know if that makes sense, but I'll try my best to make it less confusing?
I live in the center of an old village, which is part of an old, old colonial town. The house I currently live in is not the one I grew up in, but my Aunt's fiance's parents house. Two houses up from where I live is the old school house, which used to be the firehouse. Essentially, it was built as a school house, then the village school was merged with the main town's school and then it was decided the fire department would move into the building. My family is very deeply ingrained in the fire department. I was a fire fighter, both of my parents are, and three of my four siblings have fire fighting backgrounds.
A few years ago, the firehouse moved to a brand new building, about half a mile away from the old firehouse. So the town then took the old school house / fire house and turned it into two affordable housing condos. I have not stepped foot in the building since the department moved. I didn't even go to the open house of the condos, so I have not been in there in a very, very long time.
The building has two floors, the basement and the upstairs. I don't know what the floors look like now, but I'm going to describe how they looked when the department was there. The basement was just storage, even as storage, no one used it. It was the old lunch room for the school, there were old stalls for bathrooms just inside the basement door that was accessed from the driveway. (The building is on a hill). There was a small kitchen and then a decent sized lunch room, but that was it. Aside from the door to the driveway, there was a set of stairs that went up and into the main hall of the school, through a trap door in the stage in the hall.
On the main floor, there was a giant hall with a small stage, the truck bay, which was a very, VERY tight squeeze to get four fire trucks into, in fact they had to be parked two deep in the two bays. So it was a hassle to move trucks just to get the one needed to respond out. There was a small radio room attached to the truck bay back into the main building, then there was a room where the tools to take care of the trucks were housed, and about three or four closets that were scattered between being normal closets and ones where you had to get a ladder to reach the door.
Beyond the hall was a small kitchen, which had basically a picture window hole out to the hall in it, so I guess kind of like a breakfast bar type thing without the seating. Going down a small, short hallway from that to the left was the meeting room or rec room. (There was a pool table in there. As well as a TV, the firehouse computer, and so on.) Directly across the hall from that door was a small hallway that lead to the boys and girls bathrooms. Both of which I absolutely hated. They gave me shivers. I refused to go into them without someone else with me.
So to get more to the point, the building was renovated and updated, and I hadn't stepped inside. A few years ago, a very shady man moved in with his girlfriend, her son and their daughter. Everyone knew the man was beating his kids, none of us really had any proof though. He moved into the half that I believe, from my dreams, has the basement as a good portion of the apartment.
While the family lived there, and then it ended up being just the man and his daughter, I would constantly have dreams of running through the basement, changed to be a living room with a small kitchen and a bathroom, to run away from this dark demonic like entity. It felt like I was running for my life. There were times I would wake up from that, freak a little, then go back to bed and the dream would just continue. Like I hadn't woken up at all.
Two years ago, the man and his daughter moved out, and suddenly I stopped having the nightmares. I haven't dreamed of the building since. It's got me puzzled, and it kind of frightens me. It's the only time I ever had dreams like that. And to be honest, I had been having these types of dreams PRIOR to knowing that the man was beating his family. (Again, we could never give legitimate proof to the police, so there was no way of helping.) Also, I have to say, I was describing the apartment a few weeks ago and my mother, (Still active in the department) told me that the apartment in question was set up just as I had described it. As she had been through there for medical alerts.
I just want to know if anyone else has ever had something similar happen? Or if I'm just... I don't know. Overthinking it or what not? I've been very in touch with the supernatural ever since I was little, my father's so skeptical he insists I'm just being paranoid and while I do have some mental health issues, (though not really applicable to this situation) I think that I might've been seeing something a little more than just my brain making up scenarios. So any advice or whatever would be nice? ~ ~

Sounds like typical scary dreams to me, affected by the actions of the evil child beating man.

First Projection (that I Know Of) Age 8 Or So by robmkivseries70 The author is a senior adult Date: 2018-05-29 Country: United States State: Illinois Good Day, Based on where I lived at the time, I was 7-9 years old and had no idea this was any different from some sort of dream. I remember being 'up' as 'not in bed' but with the ability to fly around inside my house. While it was dark, I was able to see like one might in semi bright moon light. I flew slowly through the main floor of the house and down the stairs to the basement. At the time, (mid 1950s), we had one of the first finished basements I had ever seen, with a tile floor and pine paneling hiding the pipes and electrical stuff. As I flew down the stairs, I looked over to the far side of the room which my mom & dad use as a bedroom and vaguely saw their sleeping forms under the covers. My vision was a bit fuzzy I suppose. This was a scary place (location) as I had a somewhat recurring dream where some monster, not unlike a spotted leopard, would jump out from behind a clothes rack and attack me. In the dream, the basement was always fully lighted, and in full color as it appeared in the day time. In this experience, the lights were out as one would expect with everyone asleep. I paused at the bottom of the stairs, half expecting to fight this leopard from my dreams. When that didn't happen, I was greatly relived and must have decided to go back up stairs to my room. I don't remember anymore except for telling my mom about the 'dream' the next morning. It has been so long I am not sure of the year or the season. Not until the mid 60's, when I had discovered "Ghost Hunter" by Hans Holzer, (I have a submission over in YGS.) and got started on an interest in the Para Normal, that I realized what had happened back at the time of my childhood. At this time I have no idea when I actually became aware of the notion of astral projection; though, there was a comic book character (mid 1960s) who, while confined to a wheel chair, could leave his body and gather information. (I found this idea fascinating) I somewhat remember projecting, or thinking I did, during the 70's from time to time. Somewhere during that time frame I came across "Journeys Out of the Body" by Robert Monroe. I may have had an experience as recently as 10 years ago where I experienced the tingling of separation and wound up next to my ceiling. Best, Rob ~

What Was The Vibration? How Can I Wake Up? by GreennRoses Date: 2018-05-18 Country: United States State: Georgia
Ijust found this site and am glad I did. Recently I fell asleep like every night but this time something different happened. I was dreaming and knew I was dreaming. I was sitting at the table with my mom and thought to myself "this can't be right. I'm at home in my bed." my mother just sat there smiling and I told her that I thought I was dreaming and that I was going to see if my hand would go through her. Once my hand got close to touch her it slowly faded away and I started to panic because this was all new to me. And I had no idea what I was doing. Every time I started to panic I would tell myself to calm down. It's just a dream. That went on for a while. Once I stopped panicking I decided to try to float up but felt like I was going too fast and started panicking again. I also felt and heard myself vibrating. First it started in my chest then it was my entire body (the chest was the strongest). Is that normal? What is exactly happening? Also how do you wake yourself up from dreaming? While there I told myself to wake up a few times and I could feel my eyes trying to open but wouldn't. Eventually my mind listened and when it did I shot up so fast and my heart was racing. I also felt jittery! So here are my questions: Was I actually lucid dreaming? What is the vibrating that happens and is that normal? How do you wake yourself from a lucid dream? I am frightened and yet very excited about what happened to me. I'm not sure if it will ever happen again because that was not intentional at all, but now that it has happened I feel like I have to learn so much on this subject.
Hope this made some kind of sense! ~ ~

Confusing Astral Encounters by mica Date: 2018-05-09 Country: New Zealand
I have been into the astral world many times before, and I normally have a routine of what I do. However, this time was different, my room and my sister's room is parallel in our house, so my astral body was walking towards the door way and immediately stopped. Horrified by what I saw, a nun sitting crouched and looking at me or rather through me with a smirk on her face. I have never felt so terrified in this world before. Would she be connected to the fact that my mum woks in a catholic church with nuns? Did I see a nun who passed away? I'm not entirely sure. But my astral body went back to the far end of my room to the window where I could see a happier version of myself and my boyfriend laughing and smiling. Confused with everything I decided to go back to my physical body. I look up towards my sister's room to find the nun still crouching but rocking back and fourth facing my sister's bed.
My astral body is back in my physical, and I physically woke up but was paralyzed. I was being held down, I couldn't move my head to see what was holding me physically down. After struggling for some time, I started to feel dizzy and nauseated as if I was tipsy from drinking bourbon. Eventually this thing that was affecting me physically, finally released me. I got out of bed and refused to go back to sleep. It was a lot worse than what I'm saying now.
Does anyone have any suggestions of what this could mean? And why it would happen?
I'd really like some advice and I apologise if I offended anyone. Thank you for reading. ~ ~

I am guessing the drinking affected her as she was a regular astral traveler.

Wave/vibrating Sensation (what Is Happening?) by followingKsaila95 (the author is a teenager) Date: 05-03-2018 Country: United States State: Minnesota
This is Following here, and it's my first post on this website. Originally I wanted to put this on the Psychic Experiences site but decided that it was probably better suited for this one. If you think it belongs on a different site, though, please tell me in the comments (most likely though I will not respond, though I do need help).
This has been happening to me for many years now but I never paid much attention to it until one day when I was very, very little and my older cousin taught me how to get in the ocean just so, so that the waves would toss you (unlike for her, it was something of a nightmare for me) and from that day on I realized that I had something to compare it to.
It's very hard to explain, but sometimes it feels like I am in shallow water, completely under, and the waves roll over me. It only happens when I am lying AWAKE in bed. Moreover, I have come to dub it "Vibrating" though that was when I was far younger and thought it wasn't very strange (once I told my parents and found I could not explain it, I realized it was) and didn't pay much mind to it, as I would think of my body and my 'soul' or 'spirit' (as my younger self described it) separating from each other somewhat and my 'soul'/'spirit' weaving around my actual body.
I know this to NOT be an Out-Of-Body Experience because it's not while I'm asleep, nor does my 'soul'/'spirit' elevate from my body and look at my body. I am completely awake when this happens. Vibrating, of course, really is not the greatest term for it but I continue to refer to it as such. It doesn't happen to me as often anymore as it used to (almost every night) but still happens once in a while.
Does this happen to anybody else? If so, is it common or rare? And is there a name for it? I'm very sorry that I can't explain this too well. Thank you so much!

When I Could See Myself Sleeping by Neil Farren Date: 2018-05-01 Country: United States State: Washington When I was either 8 or 9, I was having a perfectly normal dream, but then, roughly 5 minutes before I had to wake up for school I suddenly felt myself float out of my body. Then, I could see my body, perfectly. I also could have sworn there was a voice speaking around me. But then my alarm started going off and I felt myself float back into my body. What was interesting was that I was lying in the exact same position I saw myself. To this day, I still wonder what was going on. As I have ruled out a dream (it was simply too real). And I have also experienced more things like this. For example; when I was 10; I was on my way to the park and I suddenly left my body for a split second. I have also experienced the paranormal in other ways than this. If you have any idea what these out of body experiences might be, please comment. ~Thank you for reading my story

Astral Projection And Swimming With Whales; Coincidence? by Seeing11 I've been looking into astral projection lately, and about six days ago I had a dream after attempting to practice at it. In the dream I started out in open ocean during the day, swimming about 20 feet below the surface. To be descriptive, the waters were calm and the sunlight reaching into the water where I was swimming about was just absolutely breathtaking. For some context, it's been one of my dreams my entire life to swim in open ocean without fearing death. While I'm mortally terrified of the thought of swimming in open ocean all alone, in this dream I felt very at peace for a little bit doing so. After a while I started to get a little anxious being all lone in the water. I desperately wanted to find something to swim with me; A turtle, a whale, dolphin, anything. But out of all, I wanted to swim with a whale so badly. Anyway, I swam alone for a while longer until I looked behind me and saw the most beautiful creature I've ever seen. It was a massive blue whale, on its own route. I immediately swam towards it and somehow clung to it near the base of its tail. It was so mesmerizing watching it move. I've never felt so comfortable and safe in my entire life. To keep this short, the dream ended a little bit after with nothing else but us swimming.
Here's where the weird coincidence came: I woke up that morning and immediately wanted to do some more research on astral projection, stuff like things to do if and when you successfully project, of that general nature. I came across someone on a website that I don't remember that had a little list of random stuff to do; It was pretty mediocre, but I still read it haha. One of the first things ticked off on the list was "Swim with Whales", and I was thinking about how weird of a coincidence it was that I literally just had a dream swimming with whales. Could it have been that I projected in my sleep and didn't realize it, or was it just a simple coincidence?I've been told that when we sleep we unknowingly project, so naturally when this occurred I was really curious. Opinions will be appreciated. ~ ~

Ultraterrestrial Consciousness Abduction by AnecdotalMyers Date: 2018-03-28 Country: United States State: Pennsylvania This may not be the beginning of my story, but this experience, so far, is the source and center of all that I am in this life, and it is definitely the beginning of my awakening. I will continue, after this experience, to write about the myriad other encounters with God and thee Ultra-Natural I've had. I will tell you about my telepathy/premonitory experiences on the psychic experience website, I will tell you about my shamanic healing ventures, I will tell you about how the symbols all come into play, how the occult and esoteric world of real magic is turning me into a veritable power-plant of psi energy. I will show you highly sophisticated, intuitively advanced free-flow tai chi. I will speak of aliens, the ufo phenomenon and how it relates to ascension and the shadow government, including my involvement with mkultra and the superman program. I will reveal much through the unfolding of my story on these archives. Please feel free to contact me. One Love. This experience was the realest, most vivid, lucid experience I have ever known. It was NOT a dream. I was 15. For the duration of the day I felt quite ill, but it wasn't just a strange nausea, it was euphoria, I felt like their was an energy saturating or infusing me with something very positive. I remember at one point lounging in a chair just blissed out feeling strangely nauseous and unusually good. One week before the experience, I had gotten drunk for the first time. I have had no prior experience with any drugs at this point, though afterward I would go on to experiment with all the psychoactive alkaloids I could get my hands on as a means to quest for more visions in the search for a solid understanding of what the heavens happened that night. So I went to bed. The first part of this experience is me appearing at lightspeed going through the center of this portal. It's only my point of consciousness though, the imperceptible point that is the center and the circumference, that point that is god within. No thought, just pure clarity. So it was as if I was going forward, lightspeed, through the center of this portal, yet was perfectly still (the secret to time travel). I need to emphasize the colors. There was only color surrounding the center that I was fitting through. By the way the center was akin to fitting your camel through the eye of the needle that it talks about in the bible. That impossible transcendence of death, which I can tell you is possible. Consciousness exists after death. Anyway, these colors were all pure, they were all vivid and bright, and they were ALL the colors. As I was going through this portal I was witnessing colors that I remember registering somehow, even without a sense of mind, I think my physical brain registered a memory of these colors, and that they are colors you can't perceive with the naked eye, but I saw them! So this portal seemed to be out of time, like eternity, and in an instant, I am above my body in my bedroom. My body is awake and sitting up looking around, but me, my point of consciousness is like 3 feet above and 2 feet to the right of my body. I am seeing every atom of my environment glow with clear blissful intensity. A light so pure, the word pure couldn't do it justice. So my consciousness turns to see, at the end of my bed, a perfect oval portal of pure white light, so brilliant I can only describe this white light as God. The portal was from the floor to the ceiling, it had an outer rim of light blue shining outward, as if this portal was all matter, all things manifesting itself as a living portal in front of me, as me, providing me with this blessed benediction of pure clear love light. It was a living portal! It communicated with me a mnemonic phrase to access the immense download of light I received from it. That phrase is Anecdotal Myers. Then I woke up and wrote that down on my wooden dresser with a pencil. Anecdotal Myers ~ ~

After My Coma And Second Baby This Happened All The Time by Kellie Date: 2018-03-25 Country: United States State: Washington
In 1993 I had made the very selfish decision to take my own life. There was nothing I could think to say to anyone. I felt like my stupid and trivial problems would be such a burdon so I told no one.
I knew I was going to do this. I was on autopilot so to speak. I did manage to mention it to my doctor, who was not the smartest and prescribed me 100 50 mg Trazadone. An antidepressant mixed with a sleep aid.
I tried for two days taking 1/2 a pill at bedtime, but literally could not stay awake the next day they were so strong. After an entire day of drinking, and harder drugs (I'm a recovering addict 25 yrs) I decided to go home and take the 98 pills I had left.
I remember the entire near death experience, but without getting into that, let me just say I was in a coma for 3 days. I have always heard that strange things can happen to people who have been in a coma.
Approximately 5 years later after I gave birth to my 2nd baby, and I believe spontaneous astral projection began happening to me then.
I would simply lie down with my baby to try and get some rest during his nap time, and no sooner had I shut my eyes did I leave my body and begin flying at what felt like a very high rate of speed, at no more than about one foot off the ground.
As I flew I saw things in color but when I arrived at my apparent destination it was dusk. I was hovering or moving slowly above a tree line watching what I assumed was a lost child look for a cozy and safe tree to sleep under.
This happened like this all the time. My babies nap, I close my eyes, fly super fast to some trees by dusk, just in time to see some poor little boy it always seemed between the ages of 4-7 try and find a place to sleep because it was getting dark.
What kind of sense does that make? I had no idea where I was, who the kids were. So I should call the police and say, ' hi, I fly to some woods where I see a lost child every day. I haven't any geographical landmarks to give you, or any other information that may help, just thought you should know? ~ ~

I'm still having that recurring dream where I'm at that school, college..whatever it is. On and off I'm still dreaming it, not necessarily every night but several times every two weeks or so. And I know it's an astral experience, i'm always flying or floating, able to move objects with my mind, able to go through matter...sometimes people there see me and react to me, sometimes not...it's pretty interesting, not sure what to make of it yet.
