Machines may be able to take over the physical chores but Rick is right. They have no emotion so therefore, they can't be poets and they can't dream up new creations. Great write, Michael.

You know, Dip, we are all indebted to the internet.
How else would I know a farmer from faraway Nepal?
How else could we share our thoughts and dreams and friendships?
How would you know when nature threatened my homeland with floods?
How could people of the world get to know one another as true friends
And not just someone in a crowd that you read about from afar?
I love the net, Dip. I love you and Rick and Cat, Michael and all the poets
of the Castle and all of those who are not poets, as well. I love our
home on the net and all the friends who gather here. Yes, I love the net. |
