My heart was deeply shattered
It seemed nothing more mattered
Away from society
It was just my heart and me
It was so badly battered
Trusting became an issue
Tears made a soaking tissue
Lonliness became a friend
A sad world without an end
An echo saying, just you
Slowly to terms came my heart
Not wanting from life to part
A will to live then arose
Depression it now deposed
Made stronger, the broken heart

Thank God for the ones who can stay strong through the saddest moments of their life....and surive until some beautiful moment breaks through to bring some magic into their shattered lives.

Those dark, almost hopeless days do make surviving hearts much stronger; a potently emotional poem Cat.

Himalayan Bear Huggggssssssss Lift up your hearts. Each new hour holds new chances For new beginnings.
Do not be wedded forever To fear, yoked eternally To brutishness.
The horizon leans forward, Offering you space to place new steps of change

Thank you all for your kind comments This one is from experience, but from long ago when I was a young mentally and physically abused wife. I got the courage to leave after 3 years. Two years later I met the love of my life, and after a courtship of 5 years (one must be sure the second time around), I have now been happily married for almost 38 years. Though we have our ups and downs, we know we can depend on each other and treat each other with dignity and love (even when we are mad at each other:) ).

Cat, you found your way out of the darkness and into the loving arms of a person who truly treats you with dignity. That is a testament to the love in your heart which was bound to find that lover.
