There are eyes in the lake tonight and I can feel them digging in. Ripples in the water, waves come crawling to the shore. In my mind I see those eyes blinking and I know that I shall not rest anymore.
Up above, the man in the moon spits out my name in every language that is presently known to man, in emphasis with a halo such as on the night past to ensure that this memory, this night shall be branded in my mind to forever last.
But the branding is done, my love. Nevertheless, he still spits down on me and the only face I see is yours alone.
Tonight I will light the candle as on every such night in that we be eternal, in that we always be one.
Eyes in the lake tonight looking back on me.
There will always be eyes in the lake. There will always be the man in the moon cursing my name.
There will always be your face when I look to the heavens at night.
Tonight's the night the candle calls our names.
