The train whistle blows through the night.
Children grip their pillows tight.
Eventually the whistle fades into the distance.
Though now that it has moved on
another child must hear its call
and the child cries for mommy and daddy
to come into the room!
What is it with this train
causing terror in every child?
Something even a child cannot understand.
The terror train.
It is calling to the children
and the children must answer the demand!
"Bobby? What is it?"
"The train mommy...make the train go away!"
"It is just a train honey, now go to sleep."
