The farmer from far away mountains came to the Fantasy Castle's wishing well
away from towers and temples, skyscrapers and streetlights of Kathmandu
as he couldn't see the sky from the littered streets and the crowded horizon.
Signs and billboards, neon lights and parking lots, and everyone glued to their mobile.
Money & power replacing the beauty of nature, filling thoughts with love and compassion.
The farmer wanted to do something so he grew flowers watered with wishing well's love and care.

I love it, Susan. Back in old Ireland and Scotland, one of the old spiritual traditions was leaving torn bits of cloth tied to branches near the wells. They were called something like "clootie" wells, and we're sacred places to the Celtic tribes since long before Rome invaded.

Susan, your wishing well poem is sweet and delightful. Yes, I gave you a wishing well. It is ok that you misplaced it. I just gave you another one. It is sweet and flowery.

And Dip, your poem really captured my heart. I do love wishing wells and all of nature.

Susan, this poem sings to me of love and dreams come true. Your poem puts me in a happy frame of mind and teaches me the virtue of giving oneself.

~Susan~ A sweet and touching poem my friend ~ I like that it reminds us to give our wishes to others in need and not always on ourselves. Much enjoyed Huggerz Alana
