Thank you, Vicky. I found this article to be warm, charming and downright delightful. It is informative and even though small, your country is much like America from east to west and north to south. We have many different cultures and accents from the 4 corners of America, There are differences in accent even within one state. Accents will vary from those who dwell in the city and those who live in more rural, farmland areas.
However, in our hearts, I think we are all the same in our individuality. And Vicky, I feel a very strong and loving kinship with the English people and I just hope that today's politics do not destroy the ties that bind our countries in friendship and alliance. We need each other for world safety.

Thank you both. I can't speak for everyone here but I have always regarded Americans as friends and I like to think that although we have the big pond between us we are very alike in so many things. I was quite upset at the way your President was treated when he came here, not because of his politics (which I don't really understand) but because he was representing your Country. We all preferred Carter, Clinton and Reagan but even so I think the Office of President should always be treated with respect. I love your history too, it may not be as old as ours but you sure packed a lot into it.

I have had a lot of English friends since the net became a household word. I came to love them a long time ago. Today's politics scare me. I think our president is dangerous to the whole world and world peace. Here's hoping we can put the Democratic Party back into power in 2020.
And I really love your you long and interesting history but agree we have packed a lot of action and progress into our short history.
