Curious Cats
Captive of the Betelgeusian theocracy My love watches the anthropologist As he puts the buzz gun to my chest To find out what my gizzards look like But I grab that son of a gun’s electron reader And press it to Mr. meany greeny’s thorax And start pressing its buttons Like a computer geek on LSD-25 So this beanstalk ET takes a fall And my wife and I make tracks To our spaceship to home Which is a rogue moon nearly out of reach We fire the rockets with a Yippee. And she forgives my curiosity Which nearly killed us cats She pinches my nose gives me a big kiss We put her on autopilot And hop in the sack together Like rookies on shore leave

This is based on a dream I had about my ex and late wife. She and I became the heros of this adventure set in the Space:1999 world. Space:1999 was my favorite show in the mid-seventies and my former wife loved it too. XoXo John

I love Sci-Fi almost as much as I love fantasy Lands where all things are possible if you believe I love that we have poets from the realm of PC But the time has now come when you must help me
Please read and comment on the works of others in proportion to your own postings in order to support the poetry forum.

Thanks, Foxy. I just did a survey of the poems which show up here. All but a very few I've commented on. And those I just did. I went through a creative phase and posted a lot lately. But from what I can see just about all the poems which are posted here I've commented on. What I meant was that all but a few on page one of the poetry forums I'd commented on. However, now I see how to scroll through the older poetry. So I can read more of the poetry I've missed.

Hey Foxy, I just discovered how to scroll back through older posts. That should enable me to comment on stuff I've missed. Thank you again for creating this wonderful site. XoXo John

Thank you so much, John. I really appreciate that. The Castle is a pretty big place and I really depended on the PC forums to kind of be self-sustaining with the poets supporting each other. Love you guys and I am so glad you are here.
