Lavender light lies lazy pillowed against mountain slope: a magnificent evening.
come sit with me near the dancing fireplace quietly listening to the music of night.
let the egoists fight out their battles in the darkness of the night without realising that nothing lasts forever: mountains remain the witness of man's folly.

It is healing to leave the frantic pace and haughtiness of a big city and enjoy solitude in a natural setting ... the mountains have truly seen it all.

It is healing to leave the frantic pace and haughtiness of a big city and enjoy solitude in a natural setting ... the mountains have truly seen it all. Solitude is of many kinds like that of Thoreau at Walden
Prost in his cork-lined chamber Pessoa on his lonely walks the desert fathers in meditation
the Himalayan hermit focused on emptiness the hush of a room
touched by whispering breeze the sound of rain
on the tin roof and the trees....
Thank you for igniting "thoughts of solitude". Namaste. - Dip

Our Native Americans say, "Nothing lasts forever except the earth and sky." Your poem resonates with that in the most beautifully inspiring way.
