Plato’s Progeny
She had the most peculiar dream
that she was wrestling with one of those lean guys
in the Lyceum in Athens.
who was no longer a boy
yet too bashful in his birthday suit for the Olympics
Their athletics were performed in the nude
as was customary.
Her contender tried to hide nature taking its course
but the shape of his hands
let slip the secret held within.

A big thanks to you my friend for your appreciation of my dream poem. I especially love your tag for this one. A truly tender portrait of young love with the woman dreaming. How appropriate for my poem. And their love for each other just glows with an aura of gentle passion.

It's been a good day, John. Have not done a lot today. Just mostly playing in the Castle and I had a much needed nap this afternoon. I love when I can break for a nap. We Castle Dwellers love an afternoon nap. |

Sounds like you got well-needed relaxation time my friend. Siestas are the custom in Spain. I used to do them when living with my grandparents who also took those afternoon naps. Even short naps can be very refreshing.  XoXo John |

Yes, life is a series of rests and activity. We do need our rests. They rejuvenate our reserves for when the time comes to be active again.
