Little Miss Muffet has grown up On curds and whey, she does not sup; She loves The Munsters on TV... Spider webs, her fave sight to see.
Miss Muffet has long unwashed hair It grows and grows, she does not care; No suitors keep her company... Spider webs, her fave sight to see.
She likes her spiders all the same For each she has a cute pet name; She talks to them while sipping tea... Spider webs, her fave sight to see.
Miss Muffet enjoys solitude She only needs her spider brood; Snow White has learned to leave her be... Spider webs, her fave sight to see!

I'm not a big fan of spiders, but your poem is very cool, Rick. I love what I call "character" poems. I've thought several times about gathering some of mine to use in a fantasy novel, or at least a chapbook.

Thank you, Dan! In 2015 I started writing alternate versions of classic characters and a year later began creating my own ... I hope you do write a fantasy novel or chapbook about some of yours

Rick your Little Miss Muffet sounds darkly whimsical in the most enchanting way. Superb my friend.

Rick, Your stories are Doors for me ...
Reminds me of a saying-
The doors to the world of the wild Self are few but precious.
If you have a deep scar, that is a door,
if you have an old, old story, that is a door.
If you love the sky and the water so much you almost cannot bear it,
that is a door.
If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door.
Clarissa Pinkola Estes
