Ever So Much More So...
Not a moment goes by in quiet, Clock hands whirl in a furious rush, Every second wrapped in a harried agenda.
We are infinitely more connected to the wider world, Lost in the demands of the little rectangular devils in our pockets.
I have not read a complete novel in two years, And there are people besides me who would consider that evidence of a collapsing universe.
Carry on, Wayward souls, But quickly.
Tick-tock.

Dan, The Internet and the Mobile phones are changing ways of life in Kathmandu too. On top of that the business developing with the Kathmandu connected to Lhasa and to the other cities of China contributing to change of life, which is inevitable, but making people forget to be social except on the net.
Fortunately, as yet, in the villages far away from Kathmandu people have time to watch the clouds pass by the snowy peaks; still get together in village square to socialise.
"Carry on, Wayward souls, But quickly.
Tick-tock.

It's crazy and I think, hope not but probably so, maybe, we can wish for the best because it most likely but possibly not.......?? It's crazy, seriously, everyone is rushed all the time and hardly in the moment. It's pretty sad. Good to read your words again.

Sad but true, dear poets. Our social lives have definitely been shaped by the power of the internet. Even children no longer talk to and play with each other; they turn all their attention to their electronic devices. Great write, Dan.

I know how true this is, Dan; children especially are growing up with little desire to be out in nature as electronic devices are their best friends all too often. Of course, adults too but at least they have memories of how life was before smartphones, tablets and social media. Nice writing.
