Nostalgic...
There is something about this poetry board, A feeling, A look, An essence.
As close as I can come to holding paper and turning pages, When there is really glass and plastic in my hand, Glowing.
It almost seems the older posts might yellow with age.
This is a good thing, In its way a glorious achievment.
I only hope the place keeps its soul.

This is a very nice poem, Dan; it is good you feel wonderful nostalgia vibes here too and ... I have no doubt its soul shall remain glowing no matter the time that passes.

A feeling, A look, An essence .....
Dan, I have found that and more here .... Bows deeply. I am a farmer living far away from the maddening city of Kathmandu. To me, this place is like a Chaikhana ( Tea Shop) which you will find on the trek routes of Nepal. Chaikhana is a place where strangers are welcome to share their thoughts, hopes and despairs.
Come be with me in The Chaikhana ( Tea shop) and let us bring our individual experience of expectations from life and at times share our frustrations of how Time slips by.
Over the centuries mystics & poets have shared a lot of their thinking about Life. As a student in a foreign country one evening I was startled to hear someone quote Omar Khayyam to a small group of friends in a Pub.
Being an Asian and one that came from the mountains of the Himalayas, mysticism was nothing new.
I search for the tales from people to quietly seek the meaning of my life.
Here is a table with a few chairs overlooking the mountains I love. Come and spend sometime here. Namaste.- Dip

God speaks to each of us as he makes us, then walks with us silently out of the night. These are words we dimly hear:
You, sent out beyond your recall,
go to the limits of your longing. Embody me. Flare up like flame
and make big shadows I can move in. Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror.
Just keep going. No feeling is final. Don't let yourself lose me.
Nearby is the country they call life. You will know it by its seriousness.
Give me your hand. ~ Rainer Maria Rilke

This board has an excellent retro vibe to the design. It's artistic and peaceful instead of full of distracting blinking bling. Hmmm. I think I just came up with the title of a great YouTube rant... Our coffee shops here are usually about business or isolating for awhile just to recover from all the over-stimulation of our current society. American culture has been thoroughly twitterized in an odd way. I think we've sacrificed the"long form" of thinking in the race for mass quantity. Some people are starting to rebel a bit by tuning out and taking social media breaks. I wonder how far that pendulum might swing. Dan

Thank you, Dan, for a poem that touches my heart and gives me an awesome feeling of success with my Dream Castle. And yes, Dan, a soul that we intend to keep. If on paper, many of our old posts would already be yellow with age. That is how we like it. I find the old things are worth keeping and never intended to be replaced by the new. I want every artist to trust that his or her own work is safe here and will be treasured for as long as I live and remain the Keeper of the Castle.
Thank you, Rick, for helping to keep the soul of the Castle glowing. You do such an excellent job at that.
Dip, thank you for your invitation to sit at your table and share your life. You are an exceptional poet with a beautiful outlook on life.
