Madness comes in many ways the idea of going and staying at a high altitude pass in winter is considered by almost all trekkers and climbers as madness
why do you want to go? asks a 36 year old lady trekker who always brings me a new window to look at the world when I meet her in Thamel restaurant
silence descends in the restaurant everyone is waiting for my answer
I realise I do not have a reason to go to that shepherd's hut where I stayed during a summer
but an inner voice tells me to go there
madness?

I do not think this is madness either, it sounds very adventurous and the solitude up there would be magnificent.

Perhaps it's the desire for a time away from the strain of being around other people. Maybe it's the desire for a clear view and connection with nature. Possibly it's because others are saying it shouldn't be done. At the end of it all, it certainly makes for an interesting poetic writing.
