the strawberry king and queen, were having visitors one late spring day. they decided to meet them half way, so out into the strawberry field they went. they had grandma with them, and she would help with the children, and why not, for they adored her.
white berry he was the littelest, and he had a toy snail, that he would ride, so he could keep up
tinkberry she was in a beaiutiful white dress, it was a present from her grandfather who couldn't be in attendance, but she wore it anyway.
then there was harryberry, well he decided that he needed to stand guard, so he had his staff at the ready.
here they come, the king said, of the derry family. only mama derry could make it, for papa had to work, he was the cheif horse trainer for the royal family, and their race track
well hello mama derry, the queen said greeting her, and how are you on this fine afternoon
we're trying ot keeup up with t erry now, she said, he's just learning tocrawl, and jerry, he says he's going to stay right where he is, he says he's on strike, so there he sits
jerry the king laughed, what are you on strike about.
nothing, well i'd rather be with papa, and the horses, but mama made me come.
that's quite enough young man, mama said, i told you that you will get your chance when you're older, and i don't want to hear another word
oh your majesty, i am so sorry for my outburst.
think nothing of it, mrs derry, the queen replied, for i hear my mtoher ofetn saying just that to the children, and she torned around as her mother nodded.
mrs derry turned towards her family, perhaps we'll leave jerry here, she said, as the two shy children peeked around the corner
no mama, i'll go, he said, getting up and he took the hands of the two shiest.
mama, thanks him and the eldest, and they followed the king and queen and their family into the trawberry forest and had a picnic
