The morning holds a paintbrush loaded with thinned golden ochre held over the sleepy world good oil and turpentine slip
dripping its own reflection in parables spill onto the mountains
a silk road weaving communion, strokes as large as God’s breath
exhaled quietly over the canyon time and me bend into silence,
and watch the unfolding of the Mantra of Life.
