A few years back when the torrential rains took away many souls in front my eyes down the mountainside with the terraces I cried.
The cries of the of the ones vanishing
with the terraces still echo in the mountains; but the whispers of the breeze remind me of their laughter in the sunny days.
“Still, what I want in my life is to be willing to be dazzled— to cast aside the weight of facts and maybe even to float a little above this difficult world.” ~ Mary Oliver

What a sad, sad picture you have painted, Dip. Thank goodness, your great creator has given you the ability to momentarily erase the hard times with the memories of laughter and happier days. My heart cries with yours during the hard times.

A sad day remembered indeed. Any such loss is one too many. It's good that you give them memory.
