To Sail Her Eyes
Dream vista lipstick cloud smile Sails below ocean blue eyes With crimson sky hair Lit by morningstar amulet Of turquoise flower suspended Round alabaster neck of heaven That rises into an almond-shaped face Sung by horizon eyelashes Feathery as cirrus But dark as night With penciled eyebrows Written in feminine runes

Much thanks, Rick. This was a portrait of a woman friend of mine. She is in her upper forties but her beauty is ageless and timeless. This was part of a series of poems I've written in adoration of her gorgeousness. This may be the best in that series. Much gratitude for reading my friend. John

Your words brush a picture in my mind that speaks of a priceless masterpiece, John. Your model had to be a vision of loveliness. Such is the picture in my mind.

She is all of that Foxy my dear friend. She is a living breathing masterpiece. Something about her smile opens up vistas of beauty and enchantment for me. And her eyes, those eyes, they penetrate into my soul with warmth and compassion. Just a look and the words unfold like magic. She is the source of these creative gems.

Lovely portrait in descriptives. It rivals a palette and canvas creation.

Love the visual detail, John. I'm reminded of a line from a movie: "The most beautiful thing a man will ever see is the face of the woman he loves. The most beautiful thing a woman will ever see is the face of her first born child." Explains much in life, no?

Dan, love that quote. Indeed it rings true for me. Glad you enjoyed the visuals, my friend. The woman who inspired this is a Botticelli Venus even in her late middle age. John
