Anne wants to reap like her boyfriend More time with him, she wants to spend; She has a brand new reaping scythe... To a dull life, she says goodbye.
Perhaps they will start a new trend Anne wants to reap like her boyfriend; Reaper couples just may catch on... A new career move, they may spawn.
Her attire looks more cute than grim Perhaps this is a passing whim; Anne wants to reap like her boyfriend... Cool Reaper greetings she has penned.
She hesitates on their first night The thought of reaping brings some fright; Their freaky romance just may end... Anne wants to reap like her boyfriend.

I love this! You blend a Halloweenish reaping image into a brilliantly funny and romantic gem. This is why I've always loved your poetry. Poems like this are what this old world needs.

This is fun, romantic and pure fantasy. I love it, Rick. Love the way you can take something grim and turn into something sweetly desirable.

My revisit of this poem was all the more fantastic than the first. My mind was a bit muddled on the first go round. Your ending made me laugh. A book of your poetry would make the days happier were I to be stranded on a desert island. There is magic in your verse my friend. John

It is fantastic knowing you read my poem twice and my ending made you laugh; also how much you would value a book of my poetry if stranded on an island ... thank you very much

Love seeing this one again Rick. You know how I love Quaterns. This one calls for more than one read.

My second reading of this illuminated it wonderfully. So Anne believes a couple that reaps together stays together. This is one of my favorites of yours. It is so delightfully romantic. John
