when my mom made stew for us when we were little, i'd ask what's that in it, and she'd say that it was chinese carrots, later we found out that it was turnip.....

LOL!! Hey Susan. It's kinda funny what little kids believed. I remember wondering what they did with rent money. The only thing I could think of was they must jus throw it up on the roof.
