It's just that it isn't user friendly for the board owner.

And therein lies the problem, Cy. That was my complaint. You should not have to be a designer or a coder to run a social group on the net and those who do not have customer service to help the owners along the way will lose many a group for having made such a rash decision.
I looked in on your board and Pepe did a good job on the design. I'm really happy you found someone to befriend you and help you out. I'm happy here, Cy, and I know if I have a problem, I can go to Customer Support and they will have it fixed in record time. My members also love it here. I do not have that feeling where TT is concerned. I still see people begging for help and getting no answers.
I really do understand your need to hang onto your board's history. It is a huge job to move the contents of a large board with years of history. Broke my heart to have to move away from Our Yuku Castle. Broke it again when I saw it after it was migrated to TT. No part of it looked like it ever belonged to me.
I do hope Tapatalk will fill the needs of you and your members and you will all be very happy there. Don't you forget us now. Come back and see us.

It's really strange....She came along, out of nowhere at the exact moment I was about to give up in frustration....It's like she KNEW.....

It seems you were meant to stay there, Cy. Help came before you got away. I took a look at Pepe's board and I typed a long message to her and praised her for the work she did on your board. Also saw a skin that is a derivative of Our Fantasy Castle's Main Yuku skin among her offered skins. I would like to get that skin on our TT Castle. Unfortunatly, when I hit send, it was eaten by the cyber space monster that is still alive and well in the realm of Yuku/TT. I Just got disgusted and left.
I wish all of you many happy years at Tapatalk. I will keep looking in. You come back too.

Hi Dazzle. Once again, I have seen my friends scattered to the 4 winds when our meeting places changed, First in 2008, when MSN shut down social groups and now in 2017 when Yuku failed and they switched to Tapatalk. I feel privleged to run into the Yuku members I knew. Hope you come back.

I loved it too, Dazzel, and I miss it. In spite of it's problems, it was better than Tapatalk. Of course, that is just my opinion, but Tapatalk seems to have more problems than Yuku did.

Actually, MSN shut us all out in February 2009. I was comfortably settled into Yuku in October 2008. I like to stay ahead of things that are happening.

I used to be part of a MSN chat room group that started up way back when MSN first came on the scene - can't remember the year, but it was a whole new thing back then. When MSN closed down their chat rooms, (they probably started their forums then, but maybe they had them all along - I never bothered to look) we all kept going as a group through e-mail, but quite a few got tired of the long-running e-mails and dropped out until it became non-existant. That's when I found Foxy's MSN castle about a year before she moved to Yuku, and I just moved along with her, much like I just moved along with her to this location because I really like Foxy and her fantasy castle.
There is still a group of us from the MSN chat room who keep in touch on Face Book, but it isn't what it used to be.

We have all been through some pretty harsh changes in our days and years on the net. The world keeps changing and we have to change with it. Makes me very happy you stayed with me in the Castle, Cat.
I started in a chat room, too, Cat. They were crowded and chaotic. Then I discovered groups and have been in one ever since.

Our chat room started out very nicely. There were good people there. After a while, some disruptive personalities came and had fun trying to destroy the peace of our room. It was then that we started using the private room feature in the chat rooms - a room within our chat room that one could only gain access by invitation. So the first one who came to the chat room would open up one of these private rooms and give it a name that was easily recognizable by the others and we continued on that way until the chat rooms were all shut down.

Yes!! I very well remember the evolution of chat rooms. It was so intriguing back in those days to know you were talking in real time to so many people, so far away. The private Chat rooms became the only way to go.

Forgive my directness if it's out of place, but Rick, do you any plans to intervene in the demise in some way, be it redirection or otherwise?

In the world of Tapatalk, it is going to take a lot of dedication and time spent to revive a once thriving group.

There is a little activity there today in Gateway, mostly hurricane talk, but I did find this from one of the poets:
"I'm viewing our forum in the Tapatalk mobile app, and I have to say I'm less than impressed. It's leading with posts from 2016. And now there are video ads playing automatically on the desktop version. That's like shouting in a library when you're visualizing a poem."
I wish them luck and hope they succeed. When I first joined PC, they were the most awesome board I had ever seen.
