The Greatest Day
The greatest day of my life
was the day I met you.
The times that we shared.
The things we would do.
Be it a walk at the lake
or a night on the town,
the laughter we would share
as we would wrestle around.
I would tickle you and you me
soon it would turn into more
with every time being better
than the best time before.
The greatest day of my life,
please let it fall behind,
all the moments in college
with you on my mind.
If only wishes would sometimes come true.
The greatest day of my life
I wish I never knew.

So sad. It sounded wonderfully romantic, but sounds like something happened to end the romance.

Poetry should be felt, and that definitely was, Michael.

Michael, when we lose someone we love I can understand how one might wonder if it was worth it to have loved and lost. Your poem is a powerful verse that explores that feeling with depth and passion.

Certainly was Cat. Sarah, dated her in college. Never felt so strongly for another woman since my ex-wife and have found it hard to truly move on with my struggles with finding a woman who will accept me with my ocd, etc. to help me to naturally move on. It's a long story with what happened and it's actually kind of a stupid story in that what ruined everything was stupid stuff...again, long story and sad. She was incredible ...ty all

Never give up hope Michael. To quote an old Doris Day song..."The future's not ours to see."
