Transparency
At times in life we see things in a different light
or better, the light is what changes the scene in itself
having us look with new eyes,
fresh eyes no longer blind to what we view.
Somehow we begin to see some color,
vibrant and strong in an old, grainy, black and white photo.
A pixelated image becomes clear and solid,
no longer weak or blurred by the effects of time and trial
and the elements within it all.
Now when we hold that image up to our eyes
it is stark.
There are no streaks,
no watermarks.
The essence of the beauty does not run.
There is no longer any doubt nor any question
as to what is being presented to us.
There is no second-guessing on what is moving us,
what is touching us and embracing us within
our very heart and soul.
Nothing fades.
Nothing is going to ever fade away.
Not the memories and not you.
No.
Not even with all of the transparency
captured within all of the moments
of time shared.

Love does that for us. It brings those grainy black and white photos into focus. It erases those streaks and leaves crystal clear clarity. I've never experienced any emotion so good at this. But your poem is the essence of this clearing of the clouds. Your words bring it all into focus like no art I've known.
