So Anyway, Later
Um, hey.
I don't know.
Maybe it seems silly
that I would like to hold your hand.
Maybe we could go to a concert,
check out some stellar band.
I just, uh, know that when I see you,
wow! You really make me smile!
My troubles seem to float away
for like a little while.
I'm like, not the greatest dancer
but maybe I'd give it a try.
Man! I can't believe I'm doing this
'cuz I'm really pretty shy!
So, whatever,
I just thought that maybe
we could hang out.
Anyway, catch ya later!
Um, if you like,
give me a shout.
K, later!
(friends laugh at him as he quickly walks back to them)
“Shut Up!”

Ah yes!! So it goes, he is off to a great start. He'll learn to put a little polish on it, and he'll do fine.

Oh yes, those shy little boys, but they grow up soon enough.

I didn't date until long after high school. My school was an all-boys Catholic boarding school. It was a good education but the girl's school was across town and I was a recluse. So I was a late bloomer on the dating scene. My first romance was my last with my wife. I love the spontaneity of your approach. The romantic magic was there to behold in your improvisational coming out for a shy boy.

ty all so much be catching up on here tomorrow just to post a note...I have to get up early to donate platelets tomorrow. So happy to be donating platelets regularly again, helping people . I have a very high platelet count so have always made for a good donor. I had to stop donating for a while towards to end of my marriage because I tested "false positive" for hep b when I was living with my wife at the time. We lived very "unclean" as she was/is still i'm sure a hoarder. Not dissing her as i understand hoarding is a legit problem as well but she never did anything as far as addressing it and getting help for it. Had she been willing to of course I would have stood by her and supported her with it. Anyway, I was recently "cleared" to donate again with it being a "false positive" of course. So, anyway, see you all tomorrow evening Good to be back here on a reg basis again, truly did miss you all

ty Cat it makes me happy to be donating them again. I have such a high platelet count I make for a great donor. When I was very little my mother and the doctor were afraid that I had leukemia because of my high platelet count at first but then they discovered I simply have a high count and that I am fine. It really was a let down back then when I was married being told that I could no longer donate because of the false positive thing. It was a bummer for a long time because I liked being able to help those in need. I donate blood some too but primarily I am a platelet donor. My past in regard to my marriage ...eh, just leave it at that. We had good times too of course though but that was a real bummer. Glad to be cleared again
