Alone
Now I may not have a whole lot of money
and I am lacking in material things.
I am not the best dressed
and not the best looking.
I will not be buying you expensive rings.
What I have a lot of is what you cannot see
but it is there and it is so very real.
Somewhere somehow some plan seems to be made
to where in your view I do not appeal.
I want to do more than tell you I love you.
I want to show you in so many ways.
I want to take you out and do whatever you want.
I want to share with you all of my days.
And when we finally come home,
if you will let me,
I would like to worship your body for a while.
I am crazy for you and I do not know what to do
for you to take notice of me with a smile.
All I do know is this,
when I think about you,
what it must be like to experience your kiss.
But when I hold out my hand,
when I open my heart and soul,
every time you only dismiss.

Unrequited love was never written as passionately as you have here. The heat of desire and passion unfolds with all the inner treasures you have to give. But sadly she craves worldly goods. A very fine poem that took me into the heart of what you portray and introspect so wonderfully.
