Persian Coffee Kitten
Persian jazz links eyes with me Her smile is a rum and coke concoction Whose Caribbean meow turns Aruba On a Dutch dream of golden sands With her ever-deepening grin Like a bougainvillea crawling the wall As her sax rolls with her hips On a slow calypso from heaven

John, I just switched on the AC when I realized the house had gotten uncomfortably warm. When I checked the thermometer, it was 81 degrees.

Foxy, thank God for the AC! This one was inspired by a Barista and the jazz music of Branford Marsalis. The combination was groovy. Adored your bougainvillea image. A perfect fit for my poem.

I wish that as friends we could do more to help them in their struggle.

Thank you so much, Don. I thought of Coltrane as I played Brandford Marsalis as inspiration for this poem.
