golden girl
her toothsome beauty
defied description she was dazzling in a gold crepe gown that left nothing to the imagination her voice was sultry like a hot Dixie night she belted out the blues like she invented it unwillingly pushed along by the Bourbon Street Mardi Gras crowds I lost sight of her quickly never knowing who she was I still see her clearly in my mind every time I think of New Orleans

Don, I spent many years growing up in NOLA. Love your portrait of a woman who caught your eye and heart.

Had to reread this. I could definitely see it all in my mind's eye. The portrait you painted here with words took me into the heart of a woman who stole your heart. Truly a magical Mardi Gras vision.

The sign of a great writer is to write fiction in a believable way. You did that well here.
