just posting here because it might get more reads
Jonesboro House
An old ranch house sits at 83rd and Clay.
The Robinson's lived there for many years
until one day when they simply went away,
moved during the night or so it appeared.
The ranch house sat empty for quite a while
until the Brown's moved in on a summer day.
They were from Hendrix, a town in south Georgia
and lived in the house until they too went away.
By then there was talk among Jonesboro
about the old house being haunted and such.
Most steered clear of the house except for kids, teenagers,
the vandals adding their artistic touch.
The house stood empty for quite a spell
until Dr. Gray brought his family to live in the town.
It was good timing purchasing and moving into the house
as Jonesboro House was soon to be taken down.
With the ranch house restored Doc Gray and his family
became well liked by the residents there.
The doc's reputation also soared in nearby towns,
the townspeople hearing of his great medical care.
For nearly ten years the Gray's lived in the house
until they too vanished without any clue.
As with previous residents there was no trace of them left.
Demolishing the house seemed the best thing to do.
A new house sits today where Jonesboro House once stood,
once such a beautiful sight to behold.
The family living there always laughed at the stories
which to this day are still being told.
People say of hearing muffled screams,
of seeing the grounds disturbed
as if people are clawing their way up from below ground.
The family that moved into
the new house on the property
at present have yet to be found.
