Daughter of the north with your sundress of fur, protection against the chill as the coldest winddaughter sends her tingling chills,
Daughter of the east, with your sundress of full coverage, protection against the heat of the rising sun, refelcting off the waters,
Daughter of the west, with your sundress of finest cotton, protection against the dryness of the fading horizon, dust clouds rising
Daughter of the south, with your sundress of honey suckle and lilac, protection against the barren times, when the shadows shift short to long,
Four daughtes of the earth, daughters of the wind, daughters of our hearts, daughters of souls,
four sundresses for all the world, four fabrics that meet, that shape, that make the gown of the mother.

Brian, this is a wonderful homage to the many ways of being a woman. You really made magic with your dreamy imagery and superb meter. Love where this took me tonight. Away from problems and into an eternity of the Goddess.
