Have you ever had fresh made from the trees, and out of the cooking pot, maple syrup poured into fresh snow and pick it up with a popcicle stick and eat it that way?

Last year, our son tapped our maple trees last year and we enjoyed the maple syrup with our pancakes. You get very little syrup from the sap after boiling it until it turns from clear to brown. But we didn't pour it on the snow to make snow cones.

Yes, last time a tree fell in the woods. We usually leave them, but this one fell into the yard part of the property.

Yes...the Exorcist back in the 70's was the first movie that ever really scared me. All scary movies before only were scary while watching them. When I saw the Exorcist, it kept me up all night. No ever movie has had the same impact since.

Yes, that was kind of like playing jenga with large poles, if we were ever being watched someone would get a good laugh.

We once had a large aquarium for several years. We had those fancy orange round ones and hey were easily five inches long without including their fins. One of my brothers-in-law took several pictuers of them. Also in the large pond outsite (80 ft x 150 ft) we have small-mouth bass and during the last few years my son has informed me that there is another kind of fish there now too. I know the previous owner put the original small-mouth bass in there, but I have no idea where the other kind of fish came. Hubby says maybe the eagle that sometimes flies over our property might have droped his catch from Lake Erie into our pond. Lake Erie is only a couple of minutes drive from here and if it wasn't for all the trees, we would have a clear view of it from our house. In summer, we sometimes see the glimmer of some water through the trees. Our Pond  Have you ever not wanted to do something, but you had to anyway? |
