Meaning Of Your Prize
I feel the wind blowing through my hair.
It seems it becomes a little stronger
as I climb up, now well within the clouds.
This is where you said to meet,
above the clouds.
So I am here.
I have faced many a fear
to pull myself up to this level.
The skeletons on the ground,
though they were scary enough,
it did not take much to bring them down.
A mighty swing with my sword
and in time I had cut down the entire horde.
But then there were the giants
and before them I felt small.
How could I defeat just one of them
not to mention all?
For a while one had hold of me
and his was a very strong embrace.
I yelled at him to go ahead
and have himself a taste!
And as he brought me then to his mouth
again my trusty sword was true.
The blade sank deep the roof of his mouth
destroying him was then I knew.....
these ways of magic I will not understand.
You still were not done testing me,
having me test myself.
You had me meet many wizards
and put all logic on a shelf.
And if I failed it was only because
I failed from inside.
This was the hardest test you set for me.
For many years I cried.

Michael this allegory was quite brilliant. And your storytelling is superb. You spun this tale well and I loved following this journey with you. Could have been a classic tale but you put your signature fable magic into it with fantastic results.
