My Quebec Princess
Blue Montreal midnight For primrose lady Fallen into Erebus’ embrace Veins on fire with hurt Corpuscles burning a path Through blood vessel boughs In her tree of tears
When even Wiccan prayers Can’t make the nightmare go away Whose ghouls haunt her horoscope With Sagittarius monsters A tarot reading She never suspected When in the tempest of puberty She felt like a passing gale That surely wouldn’t last Past the turning of the Zodiac wheel
That offered no reprieve For her little girl heart In need of a mother To make the monsters go away But her Mom was a gargoyle At the doors to her fate Whose Gothic gloaming Buried the thorn deep Into her crown of fears
Until our paths cross In the void of truth Where I am the Orpheus For her Eurydice But me with a song To banish her sorrows And dream her out Of the pit of darkness Into the flames of a truth So hot her chains melt And my widower’s heart Flies with her Into the dawn light
An emotional bypass surgery On her wounded heart In my effort to stem her bleed And leave scars that only ache As she feeds my need To love and be loved

This is "darkly beautiful" and I am so glad you shared your immense talent John, ty

Michael, thank you from my heart brother. This is about an ongoing friendship in which I am trying to help a woman to cope and heal. It is even more rewarding for me than poetry. My first "person" project.
Much gratitude, John

Thanks again so much Michael. A lesser poet than you probably wouldn't get me or my poetry. It takes a talent like yours to really understand me.
